Faryn Davis of Fernworks creates tiny, intricate worlds in resin. She blends small painted scenes and found natural specimens such as grass, lichen, feathers, and bones into layered resin paintings and jewelry. Each piece is hand painted with toothpicks and brushes, embedded in epoxy, then polished into delicate, dreamlike 3-D landscapes populated by birds, bears, foxes, and other creatures. Faryn has been crafting with resin for almost 20 years and currently lives in Asheville, NC.
